LORD let your word be my guide,
not youthful lust nor foolish pride.
Set my heart ablaze,
with a holy zeal ignited by your loving face.
Not a zeal without knowledge,
not seeking my own righteousness to acknowledge.
With boldness let me make known,
my Lord and Saviour to those to whom He is still unknown.
For I know with me you will stay,
each and every day.
For thine is the power,
that keeps me every day every hour.
Therefore show me the way,
that I might go and humbly obey.
Give heed o LORD, give heed, I do pray.
