Where shall I run?
Where shall I hide?
With judgment I will collide,
with no one by my side.
Where shall I run?
Where shall I hide?
For my sin runs deep and wide.
Overtaking me as an infinite tide.
Where shall I run?
Where shall I hide?
Indulging in my sinful lusts and pride,
feeding them day by day as they cried.
Where shall I run?
Where shall I hide?
The lake of fire will on me abide,
the wrath of God never ceasing even after I died.
I will call upon rocks and mountains to cover me,
but it will be a useless plea.
For I will be cast away from God’s loving face.
For I gnashed my teeth at his grace,
took my own way of salvation in its place.
I cannot hide nor run,
for eternal misery has begun.
