You have broken the cords, you have lifted the yoke.
By cords of love you draw me,
taking me upon Thy breast and in Thy arms,
surrounding me and feeding me,
that I might proclaim You art my rock, my sure Salvation.
Drawing me with Thy grace,
melting my stubborn rebel heart,
with the roar of the Lion and the mute Lamb.
Uniting my heart to fear Thy name and resting in the hope of Thy salvation.
Teaching me to forsake what is evil,
and walk in paths of righteousness.
Beholding your glory in the minsitration of righteousness in the face of Jesus Christ.
To stay and be sustained by Him alone,
giving my loyal obedience and willingly praising Him on the throne.
Oh come then Immanuel,
abide, abide that I of your glory can tell.
