As if Thy love displayed,
on the cross portrayed,
to sinners no even more,
for enemies the wrath Thy bore…
As if this love is not enough,
even though it extends far above,
leaving my mind in an unfathomable sea,
of Thy love and all of Thee!
We meet with thy grace which know no bounds,
for as the law increased sin,
all the more Thy grace abounds…
Leaving us asking:
How is it that sin,
that leads to death,
brings not only new life with every breath
but displays Thy love with endless breadth?
My prayer for you and me,
as it is written let it be:
Oh that we might have the strength,
to comprehend the breadth and length
and height and depth
and to know the love of Christ,
that surpasses all knowledge,
so that we might be filled
with all the fullness of God. (Eph 3:18,19)
